Gem City Concert Band To Be Featured As A Friday Night Event In 2013 Edinboro Maple Festival

Gem City Concert Band, a musical organization whose history goes back to the 1940s, will present a Friday night, March 15th concert as part of the 2013 Edinboro Maple Festival activities.
The Gem City Concert Band will be giving a concert at Cole Auditorium in EUP’s Memorial Hall on Friday night, March 15th from 7:30 to 8:30 PM. Admission is free but donations will be accepted. Memorial Auditorium is located on the corner of Meadville Street (Rt. 99) and East Normal Street in Edinboro, PA.
Gem City Band, located in Erie, Pennsylvania, is a non-profit community band consisting of 50+ dedicated amateur and semi-pro musicians who share the love of music.
Membership in this all-volunteer group is open to experienced musicians in the Erie and surrounding areas. The band rehearses weekly and performs for a variety of audiences throughout the community.
The program will offer a repertoire that appeals to most any musical taste, including jazz and big band charts, symphonic overtures, show tunes, traditional concert band literature, and many, many marches.
