Help Goodell Gardens and Hermitage House on Erie Gives Day August 14th

From 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Aug. 12, supporters of Goodell Gardens, Hermitage House, and other Erie-area nonprofit
organizations can increase the impact of their donations by giving through ErieGives.org. Any donation
made will also receive a prorated match from the Erie Community Foundation and the GE Foundation. A
total of $101,000 in matching funds are available from the two foundations. The more donations made
to a nonprofit, the more matching funds that nonprofit will receive.
On Aug. 12, anyone with a Visa, Discover or MasterCard can participate by making a donation of at least
$25. All donations must be made online through ErieGives.org, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Gift credit cards will not be accepted. Donors will receive an email receipt of their gift, which should be
retained for tax purposes. Unless a donor chooses to remain anonymous, their donor information will be
sent to the appropriate organizations.
Last year, 11 supporters donated to Goodell Gardens on Erie Gives day. The total 2011 amount received
by Goodell Gardens from Erie Gives Day (including matching funds) was $642.
“Goodell Gardens is pleased to once again be included in Erie Gives Day. We once again would like to
thank those donors who contributed to us last year,” Goodell Gardens spokesperson Amber Wellington
said. “Though we are thankful for every penny donated to the Gardens, Erie Gives Day is a great way
for our supporters to donate quickly, easily and- with the matching fund pool –make an even bigger
impact.”

Hermitage House in Cambridge Springs, PA provides Youth Services and will also benefit from gifts on Erie Gives Day.
