EDINBORO, PA (January 20, 2016) – Golf enthusiasts and supporters of public education can mark their calendars – the General McLane Foundation is now accepting registrations for its 10th Annual Golf Outing. The event will take place July 23, 2016, at Culbertson Hills Golf Course in Edinboro.
The golf outing is an 18-hole, four-person scramble. Golfers can win valuable raffle and contest prizes.
The event begins at 1 p.m. with a shotgun start. Admission includes a box lunch, dinner and a 19th Green. Tickets to this event are $75/golfer $300/foursome.
Many sponsorship opportunities are available including: prize donors, hole sponsors at $100; putting contest sponsors at $200; beverage station sponsors and 19th Green sponsors at $250; lunch sponsors at $600; dinner sponsors at $1,000 and tournament sponsors at $2,000.
All proceeds benefit the General McLane Foundation, an organization founded in 2005 exclusively for charitable educational purposes to benefit the students of the General McLane School District. The Holiday Arts Fair and the Golf Outing are the organization’s two major fundraising events as both help fund scholarships for graduating seniors. The Golf Outing alone has raised almost $40,000 for General McLane students.
“We are pleased to reach our tenth annual event, one that has been successful through generous community support,” said General McLane Public Relations Manager Marissa Orbanek. “We hope this year’s event proves to be the most successful in the foundation’s history, so we can raise more money to directly impact the students at General McLane.”
Reservations, tickets and/or sponsorships can be obtained now by visiting the GM Website (www.generalmclane.org) or by calling the school district at 273-1033, Ext. 5901.
