Edinboro, PA (March 28, 2017) – James W. Parker Middle School will be celebrating student creativity in its second annual Creative Arts Expo this Wednesday, March 29. The event runs from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
There will be original poetry readings and performances, classic recitations, art displays, a cookie-war, creations from the Hears and Hands Sewing Club, technology education, collaborative art work, creative group and line dance and STEAM K’nEx Amusement Park Rides.
“Last year was the first year for The Creative Arts Expo and it was a huge success,” said James W. Parker Middle School art teacher Christina Martin. “We had a large crowd of individuals who really enjoyed seeing the creative avenues of our students.”
Although headed by family living Pamela Glasl and Martin, this is a collaborative effort from all of the different arts programs at the middle school – including art classes, technology education, Family Living and language arts.
“What makes this such a unique event is the wide variety of creative talents that will be celebrated in one evening,” Martin said. “We look forward showcasing our talented students at JWPMS.”
