Ethridge, Justin (2)
Justin was well-loved and will be sorely missed by his family, his friends and co-workers. A man of many talents, he was a school teacher by profession, a gifted musician, and owner/operator of J.T. Wood & Dirt. He taught music and chorus at Conneaut School District for the past 12 years after graduating from Mercyhurst College. His passion for teaching music and his personality made him a popular teacher among the students.
Since the age of 13, Justin regularly started playing piano and singing at his church, Mill Village Methodist, and later played at Cambridge Springs Methodist Church among others. Many will remember him playing at different occasions with his friends in their praise band.
Justin was a hard worker and had a true love of being outdoors in the woods, scouting for timber and logging trees. He owned heavy equipment and truly enjoyed excavating and logging for hire. He also built his own house, and enjoyed woodworking and cabinetry, making furniture and gifts for others.
Besides his father, Ted Ethridge, Justin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cecil and Gladys Ethridge, and James and Janet Jankowiak, and also his uncle and aunt and godparents, Carl and Caroljean Wolfrom.
Justin’s family includes his three sons, whom he dearly loved spending time with teaching them the value of hard work, Samuel, Toby, and Gabriel Ethridge; his mom, Tracy L. Ethridge of Cambridge Springs; his sister, Lindsay Grignol and her husband Joel of Waterford; his girlfriend, Jessica Johnson of Greenville; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Friends are invited to visiting hours at Van Matre Funeral Home in Waterford on Tuesday, January 2nd from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Mill Village Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, January 3rd at 11:00 a.m. and will be officiated by Rev. Bryon Switala, pastor of Mill Village Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Mill Village Cemetery.
The family will accept memorial donations to establish a music scholarship fund for Fort LeBoeuf High School students.
