Rebecca Charlotte Jones-Serra, 46, Washington, D.C., died Wednesday morning, September 27, 2017, unexpectedly, from natural causes.
Rebecca was born April 12, 1971, in Erie, Pennsylvania, and resided in Edinboro, Pa.
She would later move to Washington, D.C., where she lived until her passing. She was an avid horseback rider in her younger days, was a member of the Erie County 4-H as a teen, and loved to show cows in the arena. She was a born-again Christian, and loved the Lord very much. She was a loving wife to Thomas Serra, and a loving mother to Annmarie Johnson, and Zachary Linkow. She touched the lives of so many, and was caring, kind, always forgiving, and compassionate.
She is survived by her husband of many years, Thomas Serra; her mother and stepfather, Sharyl and Stanley Sumner, of Girard, Pa.; her father and stepmother, Dennis and Barb Jones of Edinboro, Pa.; her eldest sister and her husband, Jennifer and Steven Young, of Erie, Pa.; her brother and his wife, Brenden and Terry Jones, of Mooresville, N.C.; two half-sisters, Leah Militello and her husband Mike, of Edinboro, Pa. and Trisha Kasper and her husband, Chris, of Girard, Pa.; one half-brother, Joseph Davis and his girlfriend Jenna, of East Springfield, Pa.; seven nieces, Aileen Kasper, Alyssa Kasper, Tara Kasper, and Megan and Caleigh Davis and Brittany and Lisa Jones; two nephews, Cory Nelson and his wife Tasha, and Spencer Nelson; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Nelson and Marion Jones; her maternal grandparents ,William and Francis Karns; and her beloved Aunt Darlene and Uncle William Roberts.
