St Patrick’s Day was observed in all it’s green glory around the area this year. Some truly Irish and wanting to honor their heritage, and still many others not wanting to pass up an opportunity for another good party.
Last Saturday saw many friends, family, and parishioners gather at Our Lady of the Lake Church, for the annual St Patrick’s Day observance. Corn beef and cabbage dinner, music by Tennessee Back Porch, and a highlight of the evening a performance by the Rince Na Tiarna Irish Dancers from Erie.
Yesterday saw the whole area dressed in green, enjoying the beautiful warm day and the company of friends. Many gathered at local establishments like Charlies’ Pub & Eatery in the Giant Eagle Plaza, to enjoy the traditional Irish food and drink and music by Salmon Frank, still others celebrated long into the night at the Edinboro Hotel, known locally as Edinboro’s Oldest Eating and Drinking Establishment.
However you celebrated the day, we hope you are not feeling “green” today and all the memories are happy ones!
