At Home with Christie – Worth The Wait

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve used the phrase “real estate deals are like making instant pudding: nothing, nothing, nothing, then suddenly it’s done.” I usually say that while we are waiting – waiting on other people, waiting on banks, waiting for something to happen.

We do a lot of stirring of that pudding while waiting. Getting a house ready to sell, preparing it for showings, putting it up for sale, all stirring the pot. Sometimes I know everything is right and yet we still don’t have results. I keep saying “It’ll happen” and yet, sometimes, I admit I second guess myself. We tweak and adjust and keep moving. What’s that old adage? “Pray to God but swim for shore?” That’s a good plan.

Worth The Wait!
Worth The Wait!

Yes, as long as I’ve been in this business and as much as I’ve seen crazy things work out, it’s probably the waiting that’s the hardest. The waiting gives me time to think and too much time to overthink. Sometimes if the wait is long enough It even makes me doubt things I know to be true.

So here I wait. I wait to see if an offer is going to work for everyone involved. I’m rooting for my clients, of course, but I know the best deals are good for everybody. So, I’ll give everybody the space they need to come to their own conclusions.

At some point, I’ll get the pudding or to the shore.

At home, Christie

On any given day I’m a full time real estate agent, momma and chief wrangler of two kids and two dogs, married to a guy who essentially hunts and fishes for a living, and happy residing on the outskirts of Erie, PA. Sometimes I fool myself into thinking I have superpowers, except my cape is usually in the laundry…I hope. It’s all in a day’s work.
