Antimicrobial Resistance

The following reminders are presented by Student Pharmacist TyJanae Maloney in collaboration with Student Doctor Samantha Slawson. Antibiotics are are not necessary for every ailment. There are many things we can prevent from turning into bacterial infections by washing our hands, cleaning up food wastes, avoiding close contact with those who are ill and keeping up on vaccinations. When we use antibiotics only as needed our bodies do not build up a resistance to them and when we do need them they are more apt to work properly. Please use the graphic below as a reminder as well as information found at the World Health Organization.
