Julia A. Zulovich, 86 of Youngsville, formerly of Edinboro, died Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Rouse Skilled Nursing Home. She was born in Columbus, PA on July 19, 1935, the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Motuz.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Zulovich in 1997; a brother, Charles Motuz; and six sisters, Elizabeth Motuz, Mary McChesney, Margaret Komenda, Rose Morton, Helen Armitage and Irene Zaczkiewicz.
Survivors include two sons, Joseph (Joyce) Zulovich of Missouri and Nicholas (Lara) Zulovich of North Carolina; two daughters, Julia “Shelly” (Todd) Wick of Oregon and Jane Zulovich of Texas; a sister, Veronica Bailey of Corry; and two grandchildren, Jennifer and Jill Zulovich, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Julia graduated from Corry Area High School in 1953 before having a great lifetime of success as a homemaker and farmer’s wife.
Being raised as part of the family farm cultivated skills that benefited Julia throughout her life. From caring for livestock to growing a garden, she worked alongside her husband of 38 years to raise a family that included all four children graduating with college degrees.
Julia greatly enjoyed cooking, from combining flour, sugar and other ingredients for delicious desserts to making traditional Slovak main courses; all to the delight of family and friends. She also enjoyed dancing, music and traveling.
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Friday, February 4, 2022 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Parastas will be held at the funeral home at 6:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 1123 East Ave., Erie, PA 16503
