On April 7th, 2022 The students were dismissed early due to a suspicious backpack being found in the school.

“Out of an abundance of caution, students and staff were dismissed a few minutes early from the building,” Superintendent Matt Lane had reported.

He also stated that the State Police had been called and were handling the investigation.

All activities after school had been canceled, with the students being sent home.

Around 4:45P.M. Matt Lane had sent out a communication, stating after the investigation, It was only broken electronics in the backpack that had been making a odd sound from the backpack.

Since there is no threat the middle school was opened back up today normally, April 8th, 2022.

Matt Lane said, “Our school counselors will be available for any student seeking support.” He states that the schools resource officer will at the Middle school as just as an abundance of caution.
