John E. Jones, 79 of Adamsburg, PA, died Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Edinboro Manor. He was born in Jeanette, PA on December 12, 1942, the son of the late Edward Morris Jones and Mary Jones Reich.
John graduated from Jeanette Area High School in 1961. He served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a retired machine operator at Wabtec in Greensburg, PA and had also worked for Robertshaw Controls, Walworth Valves, American Saint Gobain and Westinghouse.
John loved spending time outdoors hunting with his son, grandsons and other family members. He loved watching his grandchildren in their sports activities. He also never met a dog he didn’t like.
He was preceded in death by his son and best friend, John E. Jones, Jr.
Survivors include his wife of fifty six years, Betty Keffer Jones; daughter, Cara (Bill) Frick of Edinboro; six grandchildren, John Jones, III (Kaitlyn), Jordan Jones, Hunter Jones, Talon Frick, Morgan Frick and Peyton Frick.
No calling hours will be observed. A Celebration of Life will be held at a date to be determined.
