The Edinboro area has a lot of different parks in the area. Some of them are in Washington Township and these parks are always changing. Do you think you have what it will take to help these parks grow, expand and become better for the future generations? Don’t hesitate to apply to this committee positions.
Take a look at what Washington Township has said about the open committee positions:
“Calling all parks and recreation enthusiasts! Washington Township’s Parks and Recreation Committee is looking to add two new members. The Township Parks and Recreation Committee is a group of community-minded individuals who are seeking to improve our area’s parks and recreation amenities and offerings through the development of new events and activities, the pursuit of funding sources for park improvements, and the general organization of efforts to improve and expand our parks and recreation opportunities here in Edinboro. The Committee meets the first Tuesday of every month at 4:30 at the Township building for about an hour. The Committee asks that any interested individuals be willing to volunteer additional time for events and other efforts. And though this is a Washington Township committee, the Township would like to invite any Edinboro area resident to apply. All interested individuals are asked to write a short letter of introduction/interest to provide to the Committee for review. Your letter should also identify if you are a Township, Borough, or Franklin resident. This letter should be addressed to the Washington Township Parks and Recreation Committee and can be emailed to [email protected], mailed to 11800 Edinboro Road, Edinboro, PA 16412 or hand delivered to the same address. If you have any questions, please feel free to email [email protected].”
